Ensenada is a popular resort area for both southern Californians and cruise ships, It has a Mediterranean climate, a variety of special events such as mardi gras, jazz concerts, beach volleyball tournaments, regatta's, surfing contest and bicycle races from San Diego to Ensenada. There are also a variety of outdoor recreational activites in the surrounding mountains of San Pedro Martir and Laguna Hansen. In addition, Ensenada is conveniently located to the wineries in valley Guadelupe where many types of wine tasting tours are availiable.
